We originally didn't plan to go to Slovenia, but it was on the shortest path from our route in Hungary to Zagreb in Croatia. We were pleasantly surprised to find dedicated bicycle paths in perfect condition, and spent our only night there on a fancy campsite in Lendava attached to a hotel, where we had access to its indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools. Definitely an unusual way for us to spend an evening ;-).
Lendava is the centre of the Hungarian minority in Slovenia, and Hungarian is an official language in the town. The theater there is quite famous for their Hungarian shows.
Unfortunately, it was foggy during the entirety of our short 24h stay, and we could not enjoy the landscape that much before we left for Croatia.
